Meeting Minutes March 18, 2009
In Attendance:  Bruce Cilley, Donna Carter, Mike Delsesto, Kristy Blundell, Mike Motherway, Rich Powers, Russell Perry.

1.)  Meeting minutes from 2/12/09 approved.

2.)  Resident, Felicia Motherway, provided presentation on fundraising ideas targeting the horticultural industry.

3.)  Bills and financials reviewed. 

Thurston Plumbing completed the work on the reinsultation of duct work in the basement, the toilet and the sink drain in the women's bathroom.  Total cost was $616.00, as was originally quoted.  Damage was sustained due to heat being turned off. 

February 2009 phone bill = $60.00.
February 2009 electric bill/Sawyer Field = $40.16.
February 2009 electric bill/Sawyer Park = $128.17.
Propane tank filled = $971.56.

4.)  Bids for turf care and maintenance reviewed.  Total of five landscaping companies bid of the maintenance contract and three land care companies bid on the turf care contract.

Turf care contract was awarded to Nature's Way Land Care.  Maintenance contract awarded to Down to Earth Landscapes.

5.)  Tree clean up will be completed by 3/31/09.  The Sawyer Kensington Park will reopen on 4/4/09.

6.)  Exeter decorating in process of completing work to damaged tiles in concession stand.  Thurston Plumbing & Heating have completed the reinsulation of duct work in the basement, the toilet and sink in the women's bathroom.  Damage was due to frozen pipes from heat accidentely being turned off.

7.)  Letters regarding banner sales are going out to approximately 200+ local businesses.
Banners to be placed on home run fence at Sawyer Park.

8.)  The concession stand will be open April thru June on the evenings when baseball or softball games are being played.  Concession stand will be open in July & August, hours to be announced.

9.)  Equipment in bunker was organized by KYAA, The Recreation Committee and The Park Trust.

10.)  Sawyer Field Baseline to 1st & 3rd base will be straightened and will be 3 feet wide.  This work will be completed by Hillside Landscaping and Bell & Flynn.

11.)  Large hole in right outfield corner at Sawyer Field will be corrected by Bell & Flynn.

12.)  No new paths from homeplate to dugout will be built.  All fields at Sawyer Park and Sawyer Field were built to Cal Ripkin specifications.

13.)  Sprinkler head in catchers area was removed.

14.)  KYAA and volunteers can create catcher boxes at both softball fields on field day.

15.)  For the time being, coaches will initially call games.  Umpire will call game once game has started.

16.)  Lights for night games will be on computerized system.
