Meeting Minutes
October 15, 2008
In attendance: Bruce Cilley, Mike DelSesto, Donna Carter, Mary Jane Solomon, Mike Motherway
Mike M. reviewed meeting minutes. Drafts will be posted and reviewed for vote at next meeting. Next meetings: November 19th and Dec. 17th.
Talked about communication and the timing necessary to find a good fit for the Town appointee to the Board. Mary Jane agreed to stay on through November if another person is not appointed by then.
Financial statement is available at Town Hall. Talked about need to tighten up on spending and scrutinize “wish list” vs. absolute needs to make sure maintenance of the park is in financial good standing.
Bills: reviewed and approved. Donna asked “what was the demand?“
Soccer and flag football will be active at the park the next couple of weekends. The elementary school is going to have a lunch at the park. Concession stand will be open a few additional times.
Will cut down to 3 days per week on park clean up beginning Nov. 1 and re-assess when we meet in Nov.
Tree work for the skateboard park will be scheduled. Bruce will obtain insurance document.
Aeration and overseeding, of everything, and fertilization. Playing fields have been fertilized. Price out next year, both sides. Grants. Pricing will be reviewed next week and approvaal to proceed provided pricing is in line with recent contracts.
Bruce is authorized to pay for Halloween expenses before next meeting.
