Meeting Minutes
May 24, 2008
In Attendance: Mike DelSesto, Bruce Cilley, Donna Carter, Mary Jane Solomon, Mike Motherway.
Review of park status: Mike D.
Play area is installed, Sawyer field is well underway. Sod should go down in the first week of June. By mid june should be 90% complete on sawyer field.
Mike DelSesto made a motion to change the path around the play area from crushed stone to chip seal due to maintenance concerns, seconded by Bruce with all in favor. This is the same material being used on the paths coming into the park.
Ordinance language for uses of the park was discussed.
Reviewed plan for park benches – Benches with engraved names will be available for people to contribute to the park.
All agreed to use organic approach to lawn care for Sawyer Field for this year and compare cost vs. results with traditional approach. Mike M. will contact Jim from PurelyOrganic to get a cost estimate.
